Space Crossing

Space Crossing is a game created by myself and Pratik Ghimire. I was the programmer and he was the artist. it is a “Frogger” or “Crossy Roads” style game. Your alien friend is stuck on the wrong side of the space highway. Only you can help him cross, without getting hit by speedy spaceships. You cross the highway you get points. How high can you get score and help your new friend?

The game consists of four lanes that spawn spaceships at random times. The player will use the arrow keys to navigate their alien friend through the highway to the other side. You get hit by a passing ship and your score resets.

After having the game tested by fellow classmates, they had some interesting feedback. The first thing was the music and sound effects were to loud and even startled some of them. This will be adjusted in the final product. They also suggested that I enable the “WASD” keys as an option to move instead of the “arrow keys”. I have added that in the game scripts so that now you are able to move with either set of keys.

This game was fun to create I am looking into trying to perfect it even more than just what my fellow classmates advised. Maybe things like a mute button or even more complicated levels, could be some things I should add. This will be something I continue work out until I am satisfied with the final product. Test it out, play for yourself, give criticism, or just enjoy the game as is. Whatever you choose, thanks for playing.
