About The Game
The game that my partner and I created is called CyberTruck Space Crusader. It is a balance racing game. The objective of this game is to reach the American flag while traversing hills, craters, and falling asteroids. If a you flip over your vehicle or are crushed by a asteroid you lose and will restart the level.
Role In Developement
For this game I was the programmer. I coded and implemented all the art my partner created in order to create the game as a whole. I used C# scripts in order to have my sprites act accordingly as well as components within Unity to assist with that.
PlayTest 1
Another classmate named Kavya was the first to play the our game. She said that she liked the the theme and the clarity in its functionality. She has a Mac device so she had to console into my laptop in order to play because our Mac playable was giving us problems. This resulted in some problems like not being able to reach the end so she thought its was never-ending. She suggested in keeping track of timed trials in order to try and beat your last score. She said that the game was clear and easy to understand the directions.
PlayTest 2
This time our game was played by Mark, another classmate. He also enjoyed our space theme that we created. he also had a Mac device so he had to console into my laptop as well. This caused the game to be a little laggy, so it made it a little hard for him to play. He was able to understand the directions and knew the objective of the game. He also suggested putting in a clock to keep track of each trial in order to best the game as well as the player’s previous attempts. Overall he said he enjoyed the game.
After having both of these classmates play the I think we will try to figure out a way to keep track of the player’s time in order to create some type of competition among themselves.
